(An Giang E-portal) - Not an engineer nor a scientist, recently Tran Cong Neo in An Phu district has been known by scientists and farmers at home and abroad with his specialty to invent the agricultural production-served machine.

Creative way is highly assessed by the Scientific Council, it is a “corn separation & peeling machine”. This useful invention reached the 2nd prize in the Technical Science Creation Competitive Competition, An Giang province has just been organized in 8/2015. 

An Phu has more than 600 ha of soil to produce corn, every year output of harvest increasing considerably, accordingly apart from taking seeds to eat or make materials to process foodstuff for cattle, number of corncobs in the past farmers have to throw away. With a goal to collect number of unsold corncobs due to people have habits to discharge into environment around, has just lost the beauty and caused a foul smell, after studying the reality of corncobs can be ground to apply in growing Lingzhi mushroom in several South East Asian countries, therefore it’s necessary to have an instrument helps the collection of corncob scientifically, quickly and comfortably so since then the corn separation & peeling machine entering society resolved the problem above.

Through many times to improve the corn separation & peeling machine was completed with operational capacity: 5 tons/hour replacing for about 10 labors. As a result, when applying the machine in production will contribute to saving labors, time, costs of production, reduction of environmental pollution because has taken advantage of large number of corncobs instead of dropping a way to become useful materials to export to Taiwan, South Korea and some other South East Asian countries.

New features of this useful solution are: separating distinction between corncob and corn seed after being peeled. Part of corncob converges on left direction of machine, part of corn seed converges on right direction of machine. This machine’s structure is connected by equipment by iron, steel, rubber. Advantages of machine are: fast operation, less fuel, time-saving, labor saving. Corn seeds after being separated are very nice. 

The corn separation & peeling machine is very useful when applying in reality not only contributes to promoting development economy but also helps community and society. In terms of sources of mutual labor are gradually lacked, the application of machines to replace is necessary. If calculation of labor each person to work in a day 150,000 Đ, 10 persons spending effort to peel and separate corn seeds with 2 tons of corn per day have to cost 1,500,000 Đ. 1 ha of corn to be harvested to an end estimated to reach the lowest level: 1 ton, with 10 workers must take 4 hours to peel and separate corn seeds, while using the corn separation & peeling machine in an hour being able to     peel and separate corn seeds of 5 tons of corn just needs 2-4 workers. The machine can move easily out into the fields. 

Expenses, cost prices of purchasing machine is not high compared with other imported & superior technology. The corn separation & peeling machine is the first invention in Vietnam and can consider as the useful solution to help farmers, small and medium businesses apply in order to shorten production time, health protection, reduction of environmental pollution.
